![]() And also treat your Isuzu well and don't go flogging it everywhere and abusing it due to the thrill of a bit more power which I think most wouldn't. I think like anything you need to buy one from a reputable and well known dealer that backs their product with good reviews. ![]() ![]() Whereas the ecu remap there is no removing that before Isuzu see it and boom there goes any chance of warranty work. The good thing with most quality chips is they could be removed and are untraceable if for some reason the dmax has to go in for warranty work. Hey mate yeah I think the same while the ecu remap is a better more controlled option like you said it cant be disconnected before a service (genuine) or if the car breaks down before it gets picked up. Lang, if you decide to chip your Dmax any chance of you doing a before and after test, not just on a Dyno, but seat of the pants and stop watch, 0 to 100 time, 60 - 100, 80 - 110, and decent hills around where you live , My Ute is still under warranty, well some parts of it might be, if I'm lucky. ĮCU remap seems to be the go but you can't just unplug it like a chip if you ever want/need to and I'm told the ECU tune can be undone, if Isuzu were to do a service reflash for some reason. Īs for warranty, if the chip stuffs up, yeah they will probably cover it but if anything else was to go wrong with the motor or drive train, good luck with trying to prove the chip was at fault. īut the Isuzu Diesel motors reliability is supposed to be one of its strong selling points. ![]() Jackofjr wrote:Bloody Chips, there is a lot to choose from, I'm tempted to try one.
